Does air have weight?

Does Air Have Weight?

Prediction:
Yes, I do think air has weight. Because during and after you run, you start puffing and the air would come in with your body. You will get stitches and get heavy.

Equipment:
Plain paper
Ruler
Good karate chopper
And something to put the ruler on. (make sure half of the ruler is on the table and half off the edge)

Step 1: Put the ruler half on the table and half off the edge of it. As you karate chop the ruler you will see the ruler come off and just land on the floor.

Step 2: Pick the ruler back up and put it back on the halfway position. Put some stuffed up paper on top and karate chop that and as it falls, the ruler goes down before the paper.

Step 3: Get another paper put leave it flat on top of the ruler. Now, karate chop that, but does the ruler only go down, yes. How about the paper, no. Why. Look at the explanation below.

Explanation: You see, the only reason that the paper didn't go, is because the air is pushing itself on top of the piece of flat paper.

DO YOU GET IT?

Who else sees Lily's hands and hair tie?

Don't close your eyes Ollie!! The ruler is coming.

Is that Turbo?

Who want a turn?

Lets go to the diving bored!!!

Mathletics Reflection

Reflection for
· Something I was pleased with was doing my best during mathletics for the competition.

…because I would be really proud of myself and would like to hear great support.

what I enjoyed was creating more mathletics and using them for ideas.

…because drawing very creative ones I can add them with the one that I am doing for the competition.

· Something I found hard was doing the mathletics design pass design 12. Because design 15 was a challenge, and sometimes design 4 which is under 12.

· Something that made me think was that if I do a long and hard design, then I wouldn't be able to finish it in time.

…because I would want to do design 15 and start putting all the designs in between the squares.

· Something I want to get better at is doing the designs with a radius, compass, and a protractor.

(What can I do about it?)
Something I can do about it is that I can try and do my very Personal Best so that I can get better and better by getting use to it.

Report By Ellis

My year so far in Room 16 by...

My favourite thing about being in Room 16 in 2013 was Camp at Camp Kaitawa. Because without Mr M, we wouldn't of had that great opportunity for that great experience we had.

Something I would like to do in term four is Swimming. Summers out soon.

Something I would like to do next year is to do lots of gymnastics, to lose you know what.

My dream job would be This is easy. I really really want to work at Carls Jr, 4 square, Mac Donald, or KFC.

Reading

The best thing about reading so far this year is that we have books that turn out to be plays, and me and my group (justice league) were all proud of each other.

The best thing I read this year was (It's not just a house). I liked/loved/enjoyed it because we did fotobabble, It works like when you take a photo we record ourselves with it.

This is my favourite reading blog post (Tui in a tree) that I created. I chose it because it was a play and we all did well.

This is my favourite reading post from someone else (Pania Of The Reef). I think it is awesome because This reading blog post came from a girl named Hemani, and because I chose it she comes up with these amazing ideas and it is just cool.

Maths

The best thing about maths so far this year is the maths test.

I was most proud of learning mathletics because I really like the design from it.

This is my favourite maths blog post (Maths Scores) I was proud because I got 165 score total and for the percent, I got 665. So I was very very proud of myself.

This is my favourite maths post from someone else (Maths Scores). I think it is awesome because he is very intelligent at maths. Check his blog and you will see what his score is. It is a really high percent.

I am really good at take aways.
I want to get better at divisions (divide by)

Writing

The best thing about writing so far this year is when I read it helps me get better at writing.

I was most proud of learning how to make some recounts, or imagination stories. I was proud because some day would like to present it in front of an audience.

This is my favourite writing blog post (Favorite Things In Life) that I created. I chose it because it tells a lot of my personality, I like the way how people appreciate for who I am. And I  like a lot of peoples personalities. Sometimes I have something in common with that person.

This is my favourite writing post from someone else (Thunder Skull Episode 7). I think it is awesome because a boy named Inderpreet is really talented at drawing and writing. He is an amazing writer.

I am really good at recounts and imagination stories.
I want to get better at proofreading my writing.

Integrated Topic

My favourite part of topic has been my Te Mata Art. I enjoyed it because I put in a lot of matching color, like lots of hot colors because it is really impressive.

This is my favourite topic blog post (Collage Art) that I created. I chose it because...

This is my favourite topic post from someone else (Dot Art). I think it is awesome because if you look on the blog Jessica Snow has been drawing a portrait of herself and she did well. And plus it looks a lot like her.

Letter To Ken Catran

Dear Ken Catran my name is Ellis, and I would like to say, that your book Dead Harry is the best. My feelings for your book would be very exciting because I really thought it will be scary because of the title but I thought it was really funny. I thought it was all funny and really really cool because the sentences and the words were quite cool and my classroom thought your book was interesting.

My favorite characters would be the two boys Harry, and Sam because once, we did a dead Harry trailer and I got the part to be Sam and I think the trailer went well. The rest of the class also did the trailers and their trailer went really great. And I also think our trailers went awesome. It's on our class blog the Tree Of Pride and you might see them before any other posts will be on there. And the trailers are full of drama and great actions. Some of us used the same places but it was still great.

My favorite part in the book is when this man said “ Have a good barbeque”, and that is when the whole class started laughing and I pretty much noticed that he wanted to kill Sam. My teacher Mr Moriarty said “ He was going to kill Sam, Oh my goodness, you guys have a bad sense of humour”, but we all said that it sounded weird and funny. Sam must of found something weird and mysterious about the Russian cooking guy.

So thank you for sharing your awesome and mysterious book of Dead Harry. It was very very interesting. It was full of comedy like Eddie Murphy and I think he is so hilarious. Keep up your awesome writing and books. And make them really funny.

Your sincerely, Ellis F.

Money Making Mice

How To Play Money Making Mice

You will need an cash record sheet ( see copy master). 2-4 players in the game. 1 counter each. 1 dice. Place the counter on the start on your own book. Each player starts at $50. Record your score carefully on your copy of the cash book record sheet. Ask other players for help if you need too. Take turns to throw the dice and move your counter forward that number of spaces. If you land on a space with a sum of money on it, add the amount to or subtract it from your total. If you land on mouse wheel do nothing. If you land on a piece of cheese, choose one of the options from the cheese center. Players are out of the game if their bank balance goes below zero. Continue going around the mouse board until one player has a balance of exactly $200. That person is the winner.

Reflection for Money Making Mice
· Something I was pleased with was my team was being honest and we all were taking turns.

…because It helped us get more money in this game.
· I really enjoyed learning was to learn the game.

…because it was really fun and I was the winner on the 2nd round.
· Something I found hard was trying not to get my self in the subtraction and the mouse trap including the wheels.
· Something that made me think was Should I role a five or a six.
…because If I rolled a five then I will get $50 more. And if I roll a six then I will go on cheese and choose a prize. Well it depends what the dice says.
· Something I want to get better at is winning all rounds when I compete.
(What can I do about it?)
I can practice by playing with someone else.
